Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 27 June 2026
1. Overview
There are two kinds of paid subscription, and they're handled differently: MyLocalLoo Premium in the app (billed by Apple) and a business listing subscription on this website (billed by Stripe).
2. MyLocalLoo Premium (in-app)
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription processed entirely by Apple. You can cancel any time in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions; cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
Because Apple processes the payment, refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
3. Business listing subscriptions (website)
Business subscriptions (monthly or annual) are billed by Stripe. You can cancel any time from your business dashboard using "Cancel subscription": billing stops renewing and your listing stays live until the end of the period you've already paid for, then comes off the map. Deleting a venue cancels its subscription too. You can update your card from the billing portal.
4. Your cancellation rights
If you are a consumer in the UK, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 normally give you a 14-day right to cancel a digital service. By subscribing and choosing to start the service immediately, you agree it begins right away, which can bring that 14-day right to an end once the service has been provided. Business (non-consumer) customers are generally outside these consumer cancellation rights. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
5. Refunds
Other than where the law requires it, or in the case of a genuine billing error, we don't generally refund part-used subscription periods — but we always try to be fair, so if something has gone wrong please get in touch.
