How does location work?

MyLocalLoo asks for permission to use your device location so it can centre the map on where you are and fetch nearby toilets. Your location is used on-device only — it is never sent to our servers or stored anywhere.

What is Emergency Mode?

Emergency Mode is a one-tap shortcut for when you urgently need a toilet. Tap the red exclamation button on the map to enable it, then press "Find Nearest Loo" and the app immediately locates the closest facility and shows you how to get there.

Why are some toilets missing in my area?

Accepted Answer

Toilet data comes from the Great British Public Toilet Map (UK), OpenStreetMap (worldwide), and community contributors. If a toilet isn't mapped in those databases it won't appear in the app. You can help by adding it to OpenStreetMap at openstreetmap.org.

How do EV charger prices work?

EV charger pricing is sourced from OpenChargeMap in British Pounds, then converted to your preferred currency using approximate exchange rates. You can change your currency in the More > Preferences section. Prices may not be perfectly up to date — always check the charger itself before plugging in.

How do I cancel my Premium subscription?

Premium subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple. To cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, find MyLocalLoo, and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

What iOS version do I need?

MyLocalLoo requires iOS 16 or later. It's designed for iPhone and will run on all iPhone models that support iOS 16.

Is any of my data stored or shared?

We don't require an account and we never store your location. Reviews you post are stored on our servers and shown publicly (tied to an anonymous device identity, with no name or email needed), and you can delete them at any time using 'Forget & delete me' in the app. We don't use ad networks or cross-app tracking.
