Delete your account & data

This page explains how to permanently delete your MyLocalLoo account and erase your personal data. MyLocalLoo is a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom and is the data controller for this data. It applies to the MyLocalLoo mobile app (iOS and Android) and this website.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)

  • Open the MyLocalLoo app.
  • Go to More → Account → Delete account (or More → Privacy → Delete account & data).
  • Confirm. Your account and data are deleted immediately.

Never created an account? If you've only browsed or posted anonymously, use the same screen's "Forget & delete me" option to erase your reviews, any venue listings, and your anonymous identity.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or would prefer we do it for you, email support@mylocalloo.com from the email address linked to your account with the subject "Delete my account and data". We will verify your request and permanently delete your account and associated data within 30 days, and confirm by reply.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and login identity (email/Google/Apple).
  • All reviews and cleanliness ratings you posted.
  • Any business venue listings you created (and we cancel any active subscription first).
  • All data stored on your device by the app.

What we may keep, and for how long

  • Records we are legally required to retain — e.g. payment and tax records for any purchases (kept as required by law, held by our payment providers Apple, Google and Stripe).
  • Support correspondence, kept briefly for our records, then deleted.
  • Anonymised or aggregated data that can no longer identify you.
